For the 12th Annual Kirkwood Wildflower Festival on July 28, the Kirkwood Community Association partners with wineries, breweries and local artists to benefit the Sugar Pine Foundation. Enjoy the works of local artisans, beer and wine tasting and groove to the live acoustic tunes of Homegrown Sounds. Guided hikes with wildflower expert Laird Blackwell are available for those with advance reservations. John Pickett from the Sugar Pine Foundation will offer guided nature hikes. For youngsters there will be a bounce house, arts and crafts, pony rides, face painting and more. The festival is FREE to attend. Wine and beer tasting tickets for adults are $30. Admission to children’s area is $10; pony rides are $5.
Laird Blackwell leads three guided hikes for those with advance reservations. Hikes are planned for Saturday at 10 am and 1 pm and Sunday at 10 am. $35. Each hike is limited to 18 people, no exceptions. Purchase tickets in advance by calling 209.258.7260.
