Kirkwood Vail Acquisition FAQs

1.    Can I go directly to the lift at Heavenly or Northstar with my Kirkwood Pass (or vice versa)?  No, for the remainder of the 2011/2012 season, you will need to take your Kirkwood pass to any Heavenly or Northstar ticket window where you will be issued a daily lift ticket. The same process applies to VR pass holders who are visiting Kirkwood.

2.    Which Kirkwood Passes are valid at Heavenly and Northstar?  At this time if you paid for a full Black, Premium, 7Wood, Adult Network, 6Wood, 5Wood, Triple Threat purchased through Kirkwood or College Network pass purchased through Kirkwood you are welcome to ski/ride at Heavenly or Northstar.

If you have recently purchased a Mid-Winter Pass or a TLC Experience Pass, that pass is not valid at Heavenly or Northstar, but an upgrade will be available at a later time. Other passes that will not be eligible to ski/ride at Heavenly and Northstar are the USMW Transferrable Passes.

Kirkwood is still working out the details on the Alpine Unfiltered Pass.

3.    Are there restrictions on my Kirkwood Season Pass at Heavenly or Northstar? The exact same restrictions that apply to your pass at Kirkwood apply to your pass at Heavenly and Northstar. 5Woods can be used Mondays- Fridays only and 6Wood’s can be used Sundays-Fridays.

With the exception of the Mid-Winter Pass and the TLC Experience Pass, which are good 7 days a week at Kirkwood but must be upgraded to another pass to be used at Heavenly or Northstar

4.    Is my Kirkwood pass good at any of Vail Resorts’ Colorado resorts? No, reciprocity only extends to Heavenly and Northstar.

5.    Can I use my Buddy or SWAF tickets at Kirkwood? No, this season buddy and SWAF benefits will be limited to HV/NS/V/BC/BK/K.

6.    I have both a Kirkwood pass and an Epic pass, now that these offer redundant access, can I get a refund on one of them?  No, at this point in the season, we are not offering refunds on any passes.  We will be announcing our 2012/2013 pass lineup in Mid-March.

7.    I have already purchased tickets, a ticket pack or a Tahoe Upgrade for Kirkwood; can I get a refund on that product?  No, at this point in the season, we are not offering refunds on any products.  Please contact our Ticket/Pass Office for more information 209-258-7556.

8.    Can I use any of the days from my multiday VR ticket at Kirkwood? No, reciprocity only extends to season passes.

9.    Will I get Peaks points for purchases made at Kirkwood? No, not this season.

10.    Can I use Peaks certificates to buy tickets at Kirkwood? No, not this season.

11.    Can I use the guest bonus load from a Kirkwood Black or Premium Pass to make purchases at Heavenly or Northstar? No, not this season.

12.    Can I pick up my Kirkwood pass at Heavenly or Northstar (or vice versa)? No, you will need to physically pick up your season pass at the mountain you purchased it for.

13.    Can I use my Tahoe Value pass at Kirkwood on Saturdays? No.

14.    Can I buy discounted tickets at Kirkwood with my Tahoe Value Pass on Saturdays? TBD

15.    Will my EpicMix work at Kirkwood? No, the radio frequency technology that is the backbone of EpicMix is not currently installed at Kirkwood. We will be looking at this enhancement in the summer of 2012.

16.    Is my employee or employee dependant pass valid at Kirkwood, or Heavenly/Northstar?
Yes, employees should follow the same procedure as guests.

17.    Will my employee benefit coupons work at Kirkwood? No.

18.    As a Kirkwood employee, do I get F&B discounts at Heavenly or Northstar (or vice versa)? No, currently employee F&B discounts are only available at your home mountain.
