Apline adventures for the whole family await at the Timber Creek Base Area!
Kid's Adventure Zone - Timber Creek [CLOSED FOR THE SEASON]
Open weekends and holidays from 11am - 4pm (weather permitting), the Kid's Adventure Zone is just that! Here you'll find our Thunder Mountain Kid's Snowmobile Park and our childrens sledding and snow play area. All afternoon tube rental and hill access is just $10, tickets available at the base.
The Thunder Mountain Kid's Snowmobile Park [CLOSED FOR THE SEASON]
Located at Timber Creek below Chair 7 in our Kid's Adventure Zone, the park operates on weekends and holidays from 11am - 4pm. Children must weigh under 100lbs and have a release signed by a parent or guardian to participate. Tickets can be bought at the park or at the Tahoe Learning Center Sales Desk. Price: $15 for 15 minutes.
Snowshoe & Cross Country Rentals [CLOSED FOR THE SEASON]
Get your snowshoe or cross country rentals from the Cross Country & Snowshoe Center located on Hwy 88 or pick up snowshoes at Expedition: Kirkwood for easy access to the mellow beginner-friendly trails on the Meadow. Zip Tahoe - Open Year Round!
Zip Tahoe is our zipline and canopy tour. Suitable for guests 8 years and over and between 85 - 270 lbs, this is a perfect adventure for couples and families on vacation! Find out more about Zip Tahoe or call 209.258.7330.
Children's Snow Programs
Small Fry Program (2-4 years) [CLOSED FOR THE SEASON]
We introduced this fantastic program in 2010/11. This lesson is designed to help families introduce younger children to the skiing or snowboarding experience and promote a love of winter sports at an early age.
Mini Rippers (3-4 years) [CLOSED FOR THE SEASON]
Mini Rippers is a ski and snowplay program for our 3 & 4 year old budding shredders. Each day is filled with activities, a ski lesson and snow play making this a fun introduction for first time skiers and those still in the early stages of learning.

Evening Activities
Saturday Evening Snow Cat Tours [CLOSED FOR THE SEASON]
This 2 ½ hour tour will take you to the top of Kirkwood to enjoy breathtaking views of the valley and sunset. Tours meet in the Main Plaza as the chair lifts stop turning around 4pm before departing to the top of Red Cliffs or Chair 2. Upon your return, take advantage of preferred seating at the Wall Bar and enjoy dinner or drinks & dessert. Adult $50; Junior (13-17) $30; Child $15.

Parent Exchange Ticket
Enjoy time with your child and have your own time on the slopes. The Parent Exchange Ticket lets you tag-team the parenting duties by buying one lift ticket which you can swap out at any ticket window when you’re ready to trade roles.
Kids 12 and under ski FREE on Sundays! Every Sunday (excluding holidays), get 1 free kids ticket per paid adult.
